JUST ROLL WITH IT

Did you know?

Rolling a tennis ball under the foot can accomplish the following:

- Maximize flexibility of the muscles and tendons within your foot

- Loosen tight back muscles

- Reduce back pain

Why does it work?

When you massage the soles of your feet, you loosen the starting point of a network of connective tissue that runs all the way up from the back body to the crown of your head.

Amazing right?

So it stands to reason that massaging your feet can easily loosen your hamstrings.

You're welcome.

Tight hamstring muscles is a common problem among athletes and non-athletes alike.

We sit too much, we live stressful lives hunching over at our desks or in the car over traffic. We have terrible posture: rounded backs, heads forward, slouched shoulders, and tilted hips. The entire kinetic chain is connected and if some elements are too short or too weak, it will throw off the entire kinetic chain.

Shortened and tight hamstrings may cause lower back pain, that in itself should be common knowledge. But did you know that tight hamstrings can lead to problems with your feet i.e. plantar fasciatis. Many athletes, not exclusive to tennis players and runners, suffer from this physical detriment.

With all of that in mind, simply rolling with it will leave you with livelier and more relaxed feet, along with a new benchmark in hamstring flexibility. Just think about how cramped up your feet must be from all the walking and running around all day you do in restrictive shoes! This foot massage will feel tremendous not only for your hamstrings but ultimately for your feet!
