Making your own nut milk is as simple as soaking your nuts (pause for dramatic effect) for a few hours.
And blending them.
Then adding a teaspoon of raw cacao for chocolate flavored milk or 1/2 cup of strawberries for strawberry flavored milk.
Note: A cheesecloth may come in handy when straining any bits of nuts and seeds pieces not blended completely.
Ingredients you'll need:
1 cup of nuts (almond/cashew/soy) or seeds (flax/hemp)
3 dates
3 cups of filtered water
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
To do:
Soak nuts for 8 hours and remove skin
Blend into smooth milk consistency
Use cheesecloth (if necessary) to strain excess nut/seed bits and pieces
And Voila! Enjoy.
