This ginger-orange tisane tea is all you've ever wanted. Add rosemary sprigs to add even more flavor to this soothing brew.

For when you're feeling fatigued, under the weather, or in need of a sinus cleanse, sipping this tea may help. The fresh ginger provides spiciness and aids in digestion, while orange adds a boost of vitamin C. The agave, if you so choose to drizzle it in, soothes throat soreness---use a raw version for its antibiotic benefits.

You'll need:

One 2-inch piece of ginger, coarsely grated (no need to peel)

1 orange, rinsed, one half zested, other half sliced into rounds for serving

1 to 2 small sprigs rosemary

Agave, for sweetening (optional)

In a small pot, combine grated ginger and orange zest with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, until extremely fragrant and slightly reduced.

Place a sprig of rosemary and one to two orange rounds in a mug (or, if serving two people, a sprig and an orange round in each mug). Strain the tea into the mug(s) and sweeten to taste with agave, if desired.
